CHANCE (CHildren AgaiNst CancEr) Association is a Lebanese non-profit organization whose mission is to help children with cancer or blood disorders receive the best chance for cure, deal with their disease, and raise cancer awareness all across Lebanon. Through GC LAU MUN students (registered in this year's MUN and LAU MUN Outreach are invited to help raise awareness against cancer by creating a poster that will promote all over the Lebanese territory, a healthy environment and a better way of living. The winning poster for the CHANCE POSTER COMPETITION will uphold the2012 Anti-Cancer Awareness Campaign. GC LAU MUN Trainers as Global Model United Nations 2011

This year’s Global Model United Nations Conference was discussing “Sustainable Development: Advancing human progress in harmony with nature.” The Third annual GMUN conference, from 10-14 August 2011 took place in Incheon Metropolitan City, Republic of Korea; included university students from all regions of the world and simulated sessions of the General Assembly plenary and four of its Main Committees.  The Lebanese delegation involved six LAU students which are a part of the LAU Model United Nations secretariat. The delegation included: Ms. Scarlet Rahy, Ms. Lama Alameddine, Ms. Michelle Semaan, Mr. Mazen Chahabeddine, Mr. Mohammad Halabi, and Mr. Hanna Sanyour. Moreover, Mr. Michael Abi Semaan, LAU alumnus, served as the Secretary of the General Assembly First Committee  as a part of the Upper Secretariat of the GMUN conference.
